Rca Camcorder

Original owner! This camcorder has been sitting down in the basement for a while and is in need of some TLC. Please see pictures for overall condition. The mic doesn’t have a soft foam covering anymore (it withered away in storage). The battery doesn’t seem to last very long and likely needs to be replaced. The tape eject works great, however, you can only close the tape slot when the battery is charged (it then stays closed until hitting eject with the battery charged and on).
When attempting to test this camcorder, it turned on and took the VHS tape just fine. The camera part appears to be working (see pictures). I couldn’t get the playback feature to work and it just showed static in the camcorder screen (it could just be user error).
Since I’m not sure what works on this camcorder and what doesn’t, I am selling as is for parts/repair/use if it works. This could also be a neat TV prop or display after replacing the mic foam.
Everything pictured is included, even the 5 sealed (plus the unsealed test tape) VHS tapes. There is no key for the hard case but the case is unlocked (obviously). Please let me know if you have any questions!
