Camcorder tested as far as that it takes power from both the ac power adapter and/or battery and enables the tape eject mechanism to function, which opens smoothly and as intended. As indicated in the Operatoring Manual page 3 "if a Cassette is not loaded, no function except the EJECT button will work" (which it does). This indicates the battery charger and its ac adapter both function as intended, as well as the battery. Recording capabilities and all other functions were not tested as I do not own a tape suitable for this unit. The battery and charger were tested to function. The charger powers on with indicator lights and when the battery is inserted charging is audible and the lights transition to indicate a charge is being taken as intended. Once the battery refuses current the indicator light turns off as shown in photos to indicate battery is charged. The battery takes a charge that at least enables the eject function. Also it triggers the caution light to indicate that the tape door is opening. Duration and quality of charge cannot be guaranteed.
The overall physical condition of this unit is very good, showing minor signs of use/blemishes. The mics rubber cable/mount sleeve has separated. The only other real imperfection other than small discolorations/scratches is the stand mount area cover flaps rubber hinges, they have deteriorated and no long connect the cover to the camcorder. The ac/dc power adapter as well as battery are in excellent condition visually.
Considering it has been stored double boxed and as far as I was able to test appears functional, I would assume the functions I could not test, operate as intended as well. BUT I cannot guarantee that or test any further and thus the entirety is sold as is with no returns please.
