For sale is a rare vintage Sony Betamovie BMC-110 Betamax Video Camcorder, manufactured in Japan in 1983. This handheld unit, with a silver colour, is a part of the Sony Betacam series and comes with exciting features such as optical zoom and built-in microphone. The camcorder records in Standard Definition and supports removable storage media formats like Beta tapes. It is not fully tested but everything listed below worked as far as I can tell. This unit is sold with 7 new tapes and is a great addition to any camera enthusiast's collection. It has been well-maintained and is in excellent condition. Bid with confidence and capture your memories with this unique piece of technology. It has been tested and it looks like it is working with the power supply, it has not been tested with the battery. Battery is included but condition is unknown and I have not tried to charge it. Everything else I tested seems to be working- it accepts and ejects tape, powers on, shows the image through the eye piece, lens zooms and retracts when button is pushed, sensors on the screen light up and work for white balance-tape-low light, and when I hit record the tape starts. I do not have a player to see what it recorded and that is the only thing I haven’t tested. It is very clean and comes in the metal case that has protected it for all these years. I am also including 6 new sealed tapes, and one that was opened to test the camera.
